Private Home CNA Caregiver - Overnight Support

Fort Worth, TX · Healthcare

About the Opportunity

A private family in Fort Worth is seeking a compassionate, experienced CNA to support Grandma Gloria during the evening, overnight, and early‑morning hours. Gloria settles early and benefits from a caregiver who can provide a steady, reassuring presence through the night and into the morning.

This overnight role is for the attentive caregiver to ensure safety and reassurance.

Symmetry Resource Partners supports the recruiting and contractor payment process for this private household role. Caregivers are engaged as independent 1099 contractors through Symmetry.

This is a stable, relationship‑centered role with predictable hours, a safe environment, and a warm family culture. This is not agency work — you will care for one client, build a real connection, and become part of a consistent overnight and early‑morning routine.

About the Client

Grandma Gloria is a kind, gentle woman living with dementia. She thrives with caregivers who bring patience, emotional intelligence, and a steady, reassuring presence. Evenings and nights are generally quiet, with occasional wakeups for redirection or safety support and engagement. She responds best to caregivers who maintain a peaceful environment and help her feel secure.

Your Role (What You’ll Do Each Night)

You will support Gloria through her overnight rest and early-morning safety window. Your presence provides stability, comfort, and safety throughout the night.

Evening Transition

  • Gloria is typically already in bed when the caregiver arrives.
  • Quiet check-in to ensure she is comfortable and settled for the night.

Overnight Support

  • Remain nearby and attentive to any wakeups.
  • Provide calm reassurance, redirection, and assistance with bathroom needs.
  • Support her in returning to rest when appropriate.
  • Maintain a safe, quiet presence throughout the night.

Early-Morning Support

  • If Gloria wakes early, assist with bathroom needs and help her settle comfortably.
  • Encourage additional rest when possible.
  • If she is fully awake, begin a gentle early-morning routine with hydration and quiet, calming activities.
  • Ensure safety and comfort until the household takes over.

Qualifications

  • CNA certification (Preferred)
  • Experience with dementia care (Required)
  • Someone who sees caregiving as a calling — a service of love, not just a job
  • Calm, patient, emotionally intelligent communication
  • Ability to remain attentive and responsive throughout the night
  • Comfort supporting occasional overnight wakeups
  • Strong safety awareness and gentle redirection skills
  • Reliability and consistency for overnight work
  • Professional boundaries and respect for a private home

Part-Time Contractor Schedule and Compensation

  • Overnight shifts preferred (8 PM to 6 AM target window)
  • Approximately 30–40 hours per week across 3–4-night shifts
  • Competitive independent contractor compensation, often 25–40% higher than agency rates
  • Stable, predictable rhythm with one consistent client
  • Safe, respectful household environment with clear expectations and warm family engagement

Interview & Onboarding Process

A clear, respectful hiring process:

  1. Initial phone screen
  2. In-person interview with family
  3. Reference check (professional references preferred)
  4. Multi-state background check
  5. Onboarding and orientation in the home

The household carries appropriate family liability insurance for in-home care.
Carrying caregiver liability insurance is a plus but not required.
